Buckner Family Farm
Clint and MaryKay Buckner established Buckner Family Farm back in 2011 in the Colorado foothills. They believe in raising animals the way nature intended. So whether it’s lamb, pork, or beef, they stress that the combination of breed, the 100% grass-fed diet, and the natural, stress-free environment within which its animals live creates the tastiest and finest local meat available.
MetaCarbon Organic Farm
MetaCarbon Organic Farm is a regenerative and certified organic farm and ranch in Boulder County, Colorado. They started with the vision of changing the face of modern agriculture by bringing together a community willing to learn and educate others about regenerative farming practices. They’re staple to the local community, providing organically grown produce, education, events, and farm work opportunities.
Mountain Bird Farms
Mountain Bird is a friendly family farm right outside of Paonia, Colorado. The folks there believe in going above and beyond to provide their chickens the best amenities. That’s why they let them forage naturally, in pastures free of pesticides, and why they feed them the best grain available. Their focus is not on packaging labels, but rather in educating their buyers about what is better for the bird, for the soil, and for themselves.
Grama Grass & Livestock
Grama Grass & Livestock are first and foremost grass farmers. They move their herd daily and adapt grazing plans according to the soil’s needs. This practice of land regeneration has helped them focus on improving soil health, sequestering carbon, and over time regenerating landscapes to a more balanced and native state. Practicing these techniques has ensured that they produce the highest possible quality beef.
Hazel Dell Mushrooms
Owned and operated by Jared Scherger and Lucinda Womack in Fort Collins, Colorado Hazel Dell Mushrooms have been continuously producing the finest quality organic exotic mushrooms since 1995. They use no pesticides or fungicides in their growing process, resulting in organic mushrooms. Even their used sawdust becomes fertile soil amendment for organic gardens.
High Point Bison
Owned and operated by Glen and Jill Klawonn, High Point Bison is a third-generation family-run farm that began in 1924. They added bison in 1994 in order to better utilize the native prairie grasses in a more natural and sustainable way. Now they offer a complete line of natural grass-fed bison. Their family is committed to sustainably raising livestock and providing high-quality locally produced and marketed products.
Brown Dog Farm
Bessie and Tim, the founders of Brown Dog Farm moved to Longmont, Colorado in 2013 after working on farms all over the southwest. Brown Dog Farm now grows over 40 different fresh and organic vegetables on roughly two acres of land. They believe in growing organic food without using any pesticides or chemicals in their fields in order to ensure that they are providing the best quality of produce for the community.
Mile High Fungi
Mile High Fungi was established in 2014 by Michael and Liz Nail in the heart of Denver. They later upscaled to Conifer, Colorado in 2019 to meet the growing demands of their community. They’re a seasonal mushroom farm and their mission is to produce the highest quality, sustainably grown mushrooms in Colorado and also support smaller farms as they work to realize their cultivation dreams.
Benevolence Orchard & Gardens
Located in Boulder, Colorado, Benevolence Orchard & Gardens (B.O.G) is focused on growing heritage fruit trees, medicinal herbs, veggies, mushrooms, chickens, bees, community, and all critters. Their motto is Permaculture With A Purpose. They proudly practice holistic permaculture principles and responsible land stewardship. B.O.G. is committed to educating and involving everyone and the ecosystems in Boulder surroundings.
Ela Family Farms
Ela Family Farm is the first certified 100% organic, fourth-generation orchard in the Rocky Mountain West. They are focused on sustainable farming practices like being zero food-waste, using minimal off-farm inputs, supplying 80% of their electricity from their own solar panels, and conserving water among others. A leading climate researcher has used their farm as a case study and found us to be at or very close to carbon-neutral.
First Fruits Organic Farm
First Fruits Organic Farms is a family farm owned and operated by the Kris and Kevin Kropp families. Located on the Western Slope of Colorado, their mission is to provide the freshest and most delicious organic fruit and products to their customers. They’re locally famous for their amazing apricots, cherries, and of course, Colorado peaches.
Bear Mountain Bison Ranch
Bear Mountain Bison Ranch began with two avid outdoor enthusiasts, Anne and John Draper, who left their corporate jobs in 1996 to acquire the 10,000-acre ranch in the Rocky Mountains of Northwestern Colorado. Their all natural bison products are produced only through their ranchers and rancher partners who are committed to naturally and humanely raising their animals.
